Power A Air Flo game controller keeps you cool when your game heats up

Will the Power A Air Flo controllers for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this summer really keep your palms dry while you game?

Let's face it: the worst part about gaming in the summer are your sweaty palms that can't seem to hold your increasingly slippery controller, especially when you have to fight the final boss. Power A will be demoing their latest Air Flo controllers for the Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 at E3 tomorrow to make gaming more comfortable when things heat up.

The Air Flo controllers have a patented Air Flo technology with built-in fans and vents that should keep the device from heating up in your hands. Its two-speed fans can circulate up to 3.4 cubic feet of air per minute, with vents that light up, and the air in-take is on the bottom of the controllers. Aside from its cooling features, the controllers have reversed analog sticks, dual rumble motors, backlit action and shoulder buttons, soft grips around the cooling vents, as well as a 9.8 ft/3 m USB cable.

Until we get our hands one of these controllers, we won't know if the whirling of the robust cooling fans be too distracting during gameplay, or whether the warm air being pushed through the vents will bring more heat than cool air into your hands. No word yet on when these controllers will be available in stores but they should be priced at $39.99.

What tricks do you have to stay cool while you game in the summer?
