Music industry rebel and visionary Chuck D is the main man behind Rap super group Public Enemy. He revolutionised the hip-hop scene by bringing politically charged rap music to the masses. Now he's spearheading another music revolution, on the world wide web.

Public Enemy have become the first major label rap artists to break free from a record company, and release an entire album via the Internet. The new album There's a Poison Goin' On will be released on May 19th in a variety of downloadable formats through net music label Atomicpop.com. Autographed copies of There's a Poison Goin' On can be pre-ordered at Atomic pop.com.

No price has been determined for the downloadable versions. The album won't be available in record stores until June 21st.
