Accessory-maker Razer announced on Thursday a Mechanical Keyboard Case for Apple's 12.9-inch iPad Pro with an "ultra-low" profile and an all-matte-black design that encompasses the entire tablet.

Razer, which focuses on gaming accessories, hasn't entered the accessory market for the iPad -- until now. While the Mechanical Keyboard Case will be entering a crowded market, it has a few features that differentiate it.

Razer incorporated mechanical switches in the case, which allows in the gaming world for better reaction time from a keypress.

"This revolutionary technology with slim chiclet keycaps raises the bar for ultra-mobile keyboards," wrote Razer on its website. "Featuring optimized actuation and reset points and an actuation force of 70g, the world's first low-profile mechanical switch delivers the exact same performance and feel as a full-fledged mechanical keyboard."

The Mechanical Keyboard Case doesn't use the iPad Pro's Smart Connector but rather Bluetooth for connection. It has a battery life of 10 hours with the backlit keys turned on or 600 hours without. That's right, you can type in the dark.

Razer's Mechanical Keyboard Case for the iPad Pro is available now for $169.99.
