While there is some concern about Research in Motion’s (RIM) roadmap for its BlackBerry device, sales appear to be chugging along at a healthy clip, according to an analyst.

Piper Jaffray analyst T. Michael Walkley said RIM is delivering solid sales of its Bold and Tour phones in North America while the 8520 (Curve) is selling well internationally.

Walkley said RIM’s February quarter is shaping up well. Wall Street is expecting RIM to report fiscal fourth quarter earnings of US$1.27 a share on revenue of US$4.28 billion, according to Thomson Reuters.
