Having made inroads in the consumer laptop space, Samsung is now looking to expand its corporate notebook footprint, announcing three new lines of enterprise laptops that will be available starting next month.

The Series 2, 4 and 6 portables feature Intel Sandy Bridge processors, though only Series 6 models can get something more powerful than a Core i3 CPU. Series 6 also is the only lineup that will offer Nvidia Optimus switchable graphics solutions, with other laptops relying on Intel's integrated graphics. Series 2 and 4 offer a choice between a 12.5-inch or 14-inch LED-backlit display, while Series 6 provides a 14-inch or 15.6-inch option.

Enterprise features include an optional TrackPoint for those longing for their ThinkPads, as well as Fast Start technology that Samsung says boots your system within 3 seconds of you opening the display or pressing the power button when the system's in sleep mode. A Fast Browsing feature increases Web response time by 15 percent, according to the company.

Series 6 laptops provide Intel's vPro security technology as an option, and Samsung also provides an Easy Migration service to speed up the transfer of files from an old PC to the new laptop. There's also a built-in Web cam for video conferencing.

Series 2 and Series 4 models will be available starting next month, with Series 6 laptops hitting the market in May. One thing Samsung didn't disclose was pricing, so you'll need to wait for that info before deciding if any of these will be your next business notebook.
