Samsung is so pleased with the sales of the Galaxy S smartphone series that the handhelds are getting one-way tickets to Japan this month, along with the Galaxy Tab in November.

Well, Samsung has to be pleased considering the company has sold at least a reported five million units. That's at least one million in South Korea and another two million in the United States. Not too shabby, Samsung. Not one bit.

The launch of the 4-inch Super AMOLED-sporting device in the Land of the Rising Sun follows a major rollout in China last month. The Galaxy Tab is also following up its U.S. debut this month with its arrival in the United Kingdom on November 1.

Where in the world will the Galaxy S (and Tab) go next?
