Established in 1987, Satyam is headquartered in Hyderabad, India, and has a workforce of some 52,865 employees around the world.
The Indian outsourcing company tried its hand at film making particularly in animation. Special effects in the First Fear film, directed by Paul Nicholas, was done by Satyam's animation division based in Chennai.
Satyam made known in April that China will be at the centerstage of its expansion plans. It plans to boost its 1,000-strong employee base in China to 10,000 and grow the number of development centers there from the five it currently owns.
Satyam recently announced that it will buy over Motorola's software development facility in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, and will take over all assets.
