SDMI buckles on MP3 - Report

The Secure Digital Music Initiative (SDMI) which is looking to set standards for the digital distribution of music, is to adopt MP3 according to Music Week.

If the reports are true, the first generation of SDMI approved devices/players will play MP3 files -- the principle concern of the music industry.
