ServiceNow has updated its Workplace Service Delivery product with a series of tools to help organizations transform their workspaces from everyday destinations to event-centered meeting places. The new tools are designed for organizations embracing permanent hybrid work arrangements for their employees.

After the COVID-19 pandemicdrove employers to implement remote-work policies, surveys show that a good portion of workers want to keep working remotely at least part-time. According to data by recruitment specialist Ladders, 3 million jobs became permanently remote in Q4 2021 as a result of the growing demand for remote-working opportunities. Still, teammates often need to gather in person at least occasionally -- and employers are looking for ways to leverage the office space they've already invested in.

To that end, ServiceNow's Workplace Service Delivery now makes it easier to use offices as event spaces. The new tools include a feature to book cross-office events. Users can book room and desk reservations on behalf of team members or create reservations for workspaces and rooms across multiple locations at once.

Additionally, the tool now offers proximity-based reservation capabilities that make it easier to reserve desks near your closest colleagues. Employees can also easily share reservation itineraries with colleagues, allowing them to browse and book spaces nearby with proximity booking.

There's also a new streamlined reservation process that, among other things, lets employees add reservations made in Workplace Service Delivery to their calendar of choice.

Workplace Service Delivery also now offers new mobile wayfinding capabilities that help employees navigate an office they may be unfamiliar with.
