Two or three years ago, people used the web to find information. It was fun to go to Google, type something in, and find it. Facebook was still evolving, MySpace was distracting people, and Twitter was about breakfast.

In 2009 though, as the social web evolves, most people are using the web to share information with people they care about. And it's getting easier to do that.

The Firefox extension Shareaholic makes this task a breeze.

According to TechCrunch, they have just surpassed 1 million downloads and are getting ready to close a seed round of funding.

I think this plugin is so valuable that it should be installed on Firefox natively. In fact, this functionality should be in all web browsers. Have you tried it? How do you share stuff online?
