Solar Day. Whose bright idea?

John Reed would like to be remembered as the guy who started Solar Day. It's happening on the first day of summer. That would be June 21, 2009. It's already got a website, of course. While Reed himself is in sunny California., wants to see Solar Day go national, and international.
