Apparently some iPads can't take the heat. Reports are surfacing that iPads are overheating from too much usage in direct sunlight.

CNET reports that iPads are malfunctioning around the country - even with outdoor temperatures in the mid-70s Fahrenheit - and are responding with this message: "iPad needs to cool down before you can use it." Talk about a bummer. That's not even that hot outside, and imagine could happen when temperatures really soar in the next few months.

This might serve as an unfortunate warning to some of you who were hoping to tote your iPads on some outdoor vacations this summer - especially for those buyers purchasing the 3G editions later this month.

Hopefully Apple will deliver a remedy soon, as the iPad is meant to be a portable devices, and it doesn't seem right that you can't even bring outside with you on a nice day.
