Sony gives vote of confidence to Linux

In a keynote here at the Game Developers Conference in California, Sony Entertainment America Inc.'s Phil Harrison revealed that the company uses Linux to develop its next-generation Playstation system. "We needed a stable operating system," Harrison explained, triggering howls of laughter from the gathered developers.
