Sony might be holding out on us with the PS3 motion controllers, but it's trying to get its act together with the introduction of the wireless TransferJet Memory Stick.

Following its debut on the world state at CES 2010, it was unveiled in Tokyo this week, starting at with a 8 GB memory capacity, with 16 GB and 32 GB on the way.

The new TransferJet features built-in close-proximity, wireless radio technology that transfers data at speeds up to 560 Mbps within 1.18-inches - so long as you have a compatible receiving device.

However, don't get too excited yet. It's only available in Japan right now, but you can pre-order it from Sony Style online now. The MSRP is set at $99.99, and it should ship on or around February 8.
