There's another updated accessory for Sony's PlayStation 3. It's the official Bluetooth headset that was almost all but forgotten.
Useful for online multi-player games like Call of Duty: Black Ops, the high-quality Bluetooth headset features a dual-microphone design, a microphone mute button, an in-game headset status indicator, built-in noise cancellation and automatic pairing via USB cable with the PS3. The device also comes with a charging cradle that doubles as a desktop microphone.
Just as Sony redid some of the interior, the exterior got a new look. At 30% smaller than its predecessor, the new PS3 Bluetooth headset sports a high-gloss and sleeker frame.
Compatible with devices with using Bluetooth 1.1, the new PS3 Bluetooth headset requires a console with PS3 system software version 3.50 or later.
The new Bluetooth headset for Sony's PS3 will launch at some unspecified time later this month for $49.99. A bit much for a stocking stuffer, but maybe we'll see some holiday specials for this little guy.
