Sony will double lithium ion battery output
Sony is to double production of rechargeable lithium ion batteries in a move that could grow the market for long-life notebook PCs.
According to Japanese reports, the electronics giant will boost capacity to 15 million units by April 1998. As well as notebooks, the units also go into mobile phones and other devices.
