Sources reveal likely iPhone monthly, texting pricing plan details

Boy Genius reports sources say the AT&T Mobility iPhone data plan will be around $34.99-$44.99 and feature unlimited data, and either 2000 text messages, or unlimited text messages.

IMHO, unlimited text messaging on the iPhone would - if only for the force multiplier of this plan reflected through this immense iPhone hype - pretty much compel rival carriers to implement unlimited texting plans in a broad way.
