Stihl calendar blends both analog, digital forms; tears its own pages

Maybe you're the type of person who likes to have a digital calendar on your laptop or smartphone, but also like having the old-school form on your wall. And maybe you're someone who enjoys watching the leaves fall and change each autumn, but you're too busy to notice sometimes. Well, if you fit this description, Stihl has the perfect gadget for you: a paper calendar that electronically removes its own pages, developed by a leaf-blower company.

Maybe you're the type of person who likes to have a digital calendar on your laptop or smartphone, but also like having the old-school form on your wall. And maybe you're someone who enjoys watching the leaves change color and fall each autumn, but you're too busy to notice sometimes.

Well, if you fit this description, Stihl has the perfect gadget for you: a paper calendar that electronically removes its own pages, developed by a leaf-blower company.

Normally, I'd say this looks like one of the random homemade gadgets you come across on YouTube, but this one is just so...out there that it's grabbed the attention of several tech blogs in the last few days.

Apparently there's not even a blade, rather just a reel mechanism that automatically drops the pages. Make sure you have a large recycle bin underneath.

If you're interested in watching the magic happen, you can view the demo clip over on...YouTube. Is this a work of genius? Or just more evidence that we have just become so lazy we can't even rip the page off a daily calendar anymore?
