Long-time 7-Eleven chief information officer Michael Peck left the company early this month to take up the top IT post at women's fashion giant Sussan.
A spokesperson for the convenience retail chain told ZDNet Australia this morning that Peck had been with the company for more than ten and a half years.
7-Eleven has subsequently advertised Peck's position, noting the new CIO will report directly to the chain's CEO.
A spokesperson for Sussan confirmed the appointment, but could not immediately confirm if the clothing chain had previously had a CIO. Sussan's IT department had recently been through a restructuring, the spokesperson said.
The popular 7-Eleven chain operates a network of more than 300 convenience stores around Australia, while Sussan also has hundreds of stores, incorporating brands such as Suzanne Grae, Sportsgirl and Sussan.
