T-Mobile confirms price, release date details for HTC HD2
T-Mobile has finally come out with some official launch details for the HTC HD2 smartphone. But sorry, still no sign that it will be upgraded to the Windows Phone 7 series.

T-Mobile has finally come out with some official launch details for the HTC HD2 smartphone. But sorry, still no sign that it will be upgraded to the Windows Phone 7 series.
Available March 24, the HTC HD2 will start at $199 with a two-year contract with T-Mobile, and then the price jumps to $449 without a contract.
Running on the Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional OS, here's what else buyers will get:
- 4.3-inch HD touchscreen display (480 x 800 WVGA resolution)
- Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon processor
- 576MB of internal memory
- 16GB MicroSD card slot
- 3G
- GPS
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth 2.1
- 5-megapixel camera with LED flash
- Weighs 0.35 pounds
- Battery life expectancy: 8 hours (video playback), 12 hours (audio playback), 380 minutes (talk time), 490 hours (standby)
Owners can even turn their HD2s into mini e-readers, as it comes pre-loaded with the Barnes & Noble eBook reader application.
