Barack Obama is still fighting to hold onto his BlackBerry, but is getting close to conceding it's a losing battle, The New York Times reports. In an interview with CNBC and the Times, Obama addressed the pressing issue:
I’m still clinging to my BlackBerry. They’re going to pry it out of my hands. This is a concern, I should add, not just of Secret Service, but also lawyers. You know, this town’s full of lawyers. I don’t know if you’ve noticed.

I don’t know that I’ll win. I’m still fighting it.

Shortly after the election, Washington types started cluing Obama in that the Blackberry would have to go, for reasons of both security and presidential records archiving.
