President Obama is headed for Northern California - and tech will play a big part of the president's visit.

Details of the overnight trip to the San Francisco Bay Area today are starting to leak out - and while President Obama isn't scheduled to make any public appearances while in the region, he will reportedly attend a private dinner with Silicon Valley leaders, including Apple CEO Steve Jobs, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Google CEO Eric Schmidt.

Innovation in America was a key part of President Obama's most recent State of the Union address - so it only makes sense that he would want to sit down and have a discussion with the heads of the companies that have been among the biggest disruptors.

The White House hasn't confirmed details of the president's schedule but White House Press Secretary confirmed Zuckerberg's presence when reporters asked if the two might discuss the role of social sites during political unrest in Egypt and other countries and he replied that the conversation would be centered around innovation.

On Friday, the president is scheduled to travel to Oregon, where he will visit an Intel manufacturing facility.
