SINGAPORE – ECnet Limited (formerly Advanced Manufacturing Online, AMO), an e-Market for the high tech manufacturing industry, today announced that TEAC has chosen ECnet to efficiently facilitate and enhance its supply chain management (SCM) process. With this addition, ECnet now hits a record of more than 70 hubs with majority being the global 2000 high tech manufacturers.

Founded and well established in Japan for over 47 years, TEAC Corporation’s major businesses include Computer Peripherals, Measurement, Communication, Video and Mass Storage Products, Professional Audio Products and Consumer Audio Products.

Mr. Yoshiaki Sakai, President Director of TEAC Electronics (M) Sdn. Bhd. (TEM) and PT. TEAC Electronics Indonesia (TEI) believes that ECnet can strengthen TEAC's position in the field of data storage technology by streamlining their SCM process.

ECnet will consolidate TEAC’s system via e-procurement, inventory status and goods receipt at TEM and TEI. The manufacturer of data storage products such as CD-ROMs and floppy drives had implemented SAP on their backend system but its documents were still paper-based and manually disseminated.

The entire project involves four phases. Phase 1 involves Scheduling Agreement and Scheduling Agreement Release and Phase 2 involves Subcontractors Logical Stock Report. Subsequent phases to be implemented at a later period will deal with the Delivery Order and the Physical and Financial Goods Received Notice .
