Tekdata drives 4x CD-R
Tekdata has picked up UK distribution for what it claims are the first internal quad-speed CD-R systems, delivering read/write performance up to 600Kbps.
Made by TEAC, the drives are the bare-bones CDR-50S (£825 + VAT) and retail package CDR-50SKR (£875 + VAT) including cables, documentation and software. The SCSI-2 controller card costs extra. The drives offer a 20ms access time and 1Mb buffer.
