There are companies out there working on solar-powered cars. A recent expo showed off some of them. And there's renewed, if not renewable, interest in these start-ups and test models from both VCs and car-buyers. Check it out.

Some solar prototypes have been shown off by Ford and Mazda. Others are built in such well-known auto industrial centers as Poultney, Vermont.
