Teac Japan has introduced the LP-R550 for the wealthy audiophile. The LP-R550 has just about every audio gadget you need, complete with a turntable, a CD player/recorder, a cassette player/recorder, and a PLL synthesized AM/FM stereo tuner.

It is, however, missing a USB port, which would allow you to record right onto/from your computer. But, if you can get over the missing USB port, then you'll be happy with the CD unit -- which supports CD, CD-R, CD-RW --, and the turntable, which plays 33s, 45s, and 78s, and has an auto return function. The LP-R550 also has built-in speakers and a remote control.

The LP-R550 looks pretty similar to the LP-R400, but with a tape deck added onto it. It's expected in Japanese stores by July 30 at a hefty price of $750. Check out the press release here, if you can read Japanese.
