Time-lapse video of the Winter Solstice Lunar Eclipse

It was a rare treat for anyone who saw the Lunar Eclipse Solstice last night.

If you were in the right place at the right time, you could have watched the winter solstice lunar eclipse last night. If you missed it, you'll have to wait until 2094 for the next one.

Fortunately, some people recorded it! Here is a time-lapse video of the Winter Solstice Lunar Eclipse from December 21, 2010, taken from 1:10 AM EST to 5:03 AM EST.

Thank you University of Florida veterinary pathology professor William Castleman for putting together this beautiful time-lapse video! I slept through it, so I was happy to see it.

Be sure to check out the photo special Wired put together. National Geographic has a good photo gallery too.
