Top iOS news of the week: Top ad revenues, iOS 9 adoption rate, 4-inch iPhone
Rumor: 4-inch iPhone in 2016
'Insiders" claim that Apple will produce a 4-inch iPhone next year. In this case the insider is an analyst with a reasonable track record for predicting new products from Cupertino.
The 4-inch phone is expected to be much like the iPhone 5s but with a metal casing like more recent iPhones. According to the analyst the little iPhone will not have 3D Touch.

Two thirds of compatible devices running iOS 9
Rapid adoption is the name of the game with iOS 9 as two out of three compatible devices are now running the latest version. iPhone and iPad owners had been somewhat reluctant to upgrade when iOS 9 first rolled out, but the latest update changed that.
The iOS 9.0.2 update fixed a lot of bugs and adoption shot up once it was released.

Popular Twitter app Tweetbot was updated this week and a major feature has been enabled. Tweetbot 4.1 now has support for the Apple Watch, including following the timeline.

Apple regains top ad revenue spot in Q3
Android has many more devices deployed than iOS but the latter generated more revenue in the latest quarter. According to Opera Mediaworks. Apple accounted for 52.1 percent of ad revenue generation in the third quarter.
