Torrential abuse

A pal from the shady world of ISP operations pops up in IM.

"Heard about Axxo?" he says.

"No..." I say.

"He's big in the bittorrrent community", says my friend. "Been pushing out really good DVD rips. But he's stopped."

"Attack of conscience?" I ask

"Nah," says matey. "Fun thing about the story when you poke around in the blogs is that he's chucked his toys out of the pram because some site is ripping him off pretending to be him. So he's said that until they take this site down, he won't rip off any more DVDs."

"He could trademark his name", I said, "and defend it in the courts. I believe there's IP law to that effect..."
