Companies' relationship moves up a level...

Finnish lift giant KONE has bought 10,000 terminals from Toshiba. The agreement sees KONE installing Toshiba's Digital Media Devices in all its worldwide offices. The deal includes both PCs and laptops. The rollout has already begun in Finland and is planned to be completed elsewhere by May next year. KONE said Toshiba won the contract because of the companies historical relationship. Toshiba has also helped KONE with its lift projects in the past.
