Blog entries have been scant on the ground of late because I’ve been having trouble with SD cards on the Acer Aspire One running Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.04.

Cannot mount volume

The trouble is, the affectionately named AA1 eats SD cards for breakfast (see notes on "Card reader DO NOT SUSPEND"), then leaves a terrible mess all over the filesystem. Ugh.

It’s happened to me twice, leaving me lugging about my not-so-ultra-portable-but-still-very-lovely ThinkPad X60s until I nail the problem.
