Microsoft is planning a very light Patch Tuesday this month.

According to an advance notice issued by the software vendor, there will only be two security bulletins on November 13 -- with patches for potentially serious holes in the Windows operating system.

Two Windows bulletins coming on Patch Tuesday

One of the two will carry a "critical" rating while the other will be rated "important."

One of the bulletins is expected to address the Macrovision SafeDisc flaw that has been in the news the past few weeks. It is also likely that the ShellExecute hole that was exploited with rigged PDF files will be fixed next Tuesday.

Vulnerabilities fixed in this batch will apply to all supported versions of Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.
