Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz kept the D7 tweeting crowd entertained, but made it seem there is no imminent search deal/sale/partnership with Microsoft in the wings.

Bartz made it clear during her May 27 appearance at the D7 conference that she wasn't saying she'd never do some kind of deal with Microsoft. She told her "All Things D" interviewer, Kara  Swisher: “If there’s boatloads of money and the right technology involved would be do a deal, sure. It’s that simple. They’d have to have biiiiig boatloads of money, though.”

There was some speculation earlier this week that Microsoft and Yahoo might be setting up some kind of joint venture that would be incorporated in Delaware. But it looks like that isn't the case.

Microsoft is set to do its "big reveal" of the next version of Live Search tomorrow. I wonder if CEO Steve "biiiiiig boatloads of money" Ballmer will be callng it "Kumo" or "Bing" when it makes its semi-public debut....
