Video: Execs say smart meters will take time to change behavior

OK, just because a utility company wants you to HAVE a smart meter doesn't mean you WANT a smart meter. Heck, I know my husband has aesthetics issues, although he is way sick of people traipsing mud into our basement.

OK, just because a utility company wants you to HAVE a smart meter doesn't mean you WANT a smart meter. Heck, I know my husband has aesthetics issues, although he is way sick of people traipsing mud into our basement. (Yes, our meter is THAT old.)

Anyway, a panel at the AlwaysOn GoingGreen conference in Sausalito, Calif., tackled this very issue. You can hear about what they had to say about pricing models and whether or not smart meters will REALLY change energy consumption behavior. The video, over on our sister Smart Planet site, features commentary from Adrian Tuck, CEO of Tendril Networks, Cree Edwards, CEO of Emeter, Frank Ramirez, CEO of Ice Energy, and Joaquin Silva, CEO of On-Ramp Wireless. You can watch the video at this link.
