F-Agrex will start its operations in July.

A Vietnam News report Wednesday said both companies have jointly invested in setting up F-Agrex which will start its operations in July. FPT Software is a subsidiary of Vietnamese information technology and telecommunication company FPT Corporation (FPT) while Agrex is part of Japan's IT Holdings Group.

The report said the joint venture will first target BPO services for Japanese businesses before expanding worldwide.

In the report, Okamoto Susumu, president of IT Holdings Corporation, said the number of staff in the first year of operation would be 100 and will reach 500 by 2015.

The Vietnamese daily cited Hoang Nam Tien, chairman of FPT Software, saying that the partnership was a great opportunity for Vietnam's BPO service as the sector needed a lot of human resources and Vietnamese businesses had not yet paid much attention to it.
