Virgin Mobile spanked over spam text

A sneaky attempt by Optus Group brand Virgin Mobile to get around "opt out" rules that govern text and email marketing campaigns, has landed it in trouble with Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). It was issued a $22,000 fine for its deeds.
