MyBlogLog, the distributed social network for blogs and other online publishers, has been purchased by Yahoo. The fee has not been disclosed, though Forbes is reporting that it's around $10 million.
Rumors of a Yahoo buyout have been circulating the blogosphere for a few months now, but have always been denied. When I interviewed co-founder Eric Marcoullier last month, I asked him about the speculation. Here is what he had to say:
We love that rumor — it brought us a lot of traffic. Can you spread a rumor that someone else bought us? I hear that Nabisco's been snooping around.
I guess that's one way to fend off tough questioning from an "experienced" tech pundit ;) Congratulations Eric and team.
