Here's how I've just "nuked" Beacon off my Facebook page

As you may have heard by now, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg not only issued a mea culpa today about how they've handled that privacy-invading Beacon advertising notification service of theirs. In the same mea culpa blog post, Mark announced that from now on, Facebook members can permanently disable Beacon's feature via which your actions on Facebook partner sites show up on Facebook.

We'll be watching to see what Facebook's Beacon ad partners think of this option, and how it affects or doesn't affect their willingness to quite literally, get with (or stay with) the program.

Meanwhile, as you can see from the screencap at the top of this post, I've nuked Beacon from my Facebook.
