Do you know where all the money of the House of Representatives' $825 billion Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act is going? The various spending programs and tax cuts contained in the plan are intended to help communities across the entire nation rebound from the teetering economic edge. So who gets the dough? Here's a state-by-state interactive map of allocations for the aspects of the plan for which the Center for American Progress could establish where the money is going. The map constitutes 66 percent of the total cost of the package.
The map (which can be seen natively here) also shows the proportion of the funds that will help each state balance their budgets rather than providing additional funding for specific programs. Data is current as of 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2009.
