Are we seeing a serious greening of Colorado? Sure seems that way.
Recently I blogged about what's happened in Colorado since the voters passed a renewable energy mandate back in 2004.Today comes word that a major utility company is shuttering two coal-burning plants in Colorado and turning to more use of solar for electricity generation.
Today comes word that a major utility company is shuttering two coal-burning plants in Colorado and turning to more use of solar for electricity generation. State regulators graciously agreed to let the utility company proceed. The solar power will come from concentrated solar technology. The utility is also adding wind generation capacity.
