Clever buy for telco

Local wireless telco Clever Communications today said it had entered into a contract to acquire business-focused networking company NPH (also known as Dedach).

NPH has a number of business customers based in Sydney. Clever chairman David Williams hinted more deals could be in the pipeline.

"The core business of Clever is clean, focused, cashflow positive and ready to take on a number of corporate opportunities," he said in a statement. The NPH acquisition will cost Clever $650,000, with $350,000 of that being paid in shares and the rest in cash.

"The NPH acquisition will be quickly integrated into our existing operations and will be immediately earnings per share accretive," said Clever managing director Scott Carter.
