Shares in ISP Freeserve jumped almost 256 per cent as trading opened this morning. Shares began trading at 365p, up from Friday's closing price of 103.3p.

Within minutes the share price had reached a high of 367.5p before settling back down to 110p before midday. However, no one seems to know the cause of the leap. A spokesman for Freeserve claimed he was baffled by the sudden jump, as were the many Freeserve shareholders looking for answers on stockwatch message boards this morning. Freeserve finally attributed the increase to a rogue trade, while a spokesman for the London Stock Exchange claimed that an order sitting on the books for some time had been processed this morning, resulting in a jump in share price.
