Google Voice is now even better

Google's coolest new product, called Google Voice, has just added a new feature that makes the service a lot less scary to jump into. If you haven't heard about this service yet, it's a solution that takes all your different phone numbers (home, work, cell, etc) and merges them into a single "Google Number".

Google's coolest new product, called Google Voice, has just added a new feature that makes the service a lot less scary to jump into. If you haven't heard about this service yet, it's a solution that takes all your different phone numbers (home, work, cell, etc) and merges them into a single "Google Number".

You can choose from a wide variety of area codes in the United States -- which is great, but what happens if you move, or unknowingly picked 867-5309 as your phone number? Now Goolge Voice lets you change your Google Number for $10 bucks. When you change your number, your old one continues to work for three months -- giving you time to tell people to call you on your new number.

Google even monitors which people continue to call you on your old number, letting you pester those who can't seem to figure out how to update their address book.

Now it would be great if the service would become available in countries other than the United States!
