HTC Hero release delayed

HTC has apparently pushed back the release date for its Hero Android phone.

According to Engadget, the handset — which was supposed to go on sale on Wednesday 15 July — will now go on sale on 24 July instead, with some suppliers only releasing the phone in early August.

At a guess, I'd say the delay in the handset's official release is down to last-minute bugfixing of the Sense user interface — nice as it is, my hands-on experience last month did highlight a need for fine-tuning.
