The remaining piece of Commander left to be sold has lost one of its top executives.

Commander group general manager enterprise Geoff Horth left the company last week, although it was not clear whether he had been told to go or had left on his own accord. Horth declined to comment.

Horth held Steve Evans' role after the latter left the company in January last year.

Commander went into administration last August after its turnaround plan failed. The managed services contracts were sold off to CSG while its iBurst spectrum was sold to Telstra. The telco arm was set to be sold to a consortium called CTG, but that sale fell through.

The receivers McGrath Nicol said recently that the sale was still on the cards, although hopes of having it completed in a few weeks were not answered.
