Network Associates reshuffles top execs

Antivirus chief becomes president as Network Associates makes changes to its management structure
Written by Margaret Kane, Contributor

Network Associates on Monday announced several changes to its management structure, including the appointment of its antivirus chief to the position of president.

Gene Hodges was president of the McAfee division, which is responsible for about 60 percent of Network Associates' revenue. He will be replaced by Art Martin, who had been senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing at CrossWorlds Software.

Network Associates also said chief financial officer Steve Richards would take on the job as chief operating officer.

Chief executive George Samenuk, who had also been serving as president, will continue as chief executive and chairman. Samenuk took over at Network Associates in January.
