Power technology company Eaton has expanded its Eaton 5130 line of uninterruptible power supplies with 1000, 1500 and 2200 VA models. The equipment is designed for the needs of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP equipment) and EDGE/3G/WiMax wireless networking systems. They all come with a three-year limited warranty.

One of the selling points of the new models (which come in 2U and 3U form factors) is the fact that the equipment puts out less heat in a high-density data center environment, which means they require less cooling infrastructure. The devices come with Eaton Intelligent Power Manager, which can be used to control all of the UPS or power distribution units in your infrastructure, not just Eaton equipment; they also include NetWatch 5.0, which handles automatic shutdown of connected devices and is compabilite with virtualization environments from VMware and Microsoft.

The complete data sheets for the UPSes are at this link.
