News Burst: MS offered to support Intel P7 processor
Microsoft attorney Steven Holley alleged that Microsoft actually offered to speed up its support of Intel's P7 processor if the company would open up its architecture to other chip makers.
Intel's Steven McGeady had testified that Intel cut multimedia programs under pressure from MS, which he said threatened to pull support for another Intel chip, the upcoming MMX.
