New research published today suggests that Web usage amongst 14 to 17 year olds is higher than had been previously thought. The internetTrak survey is based on research carried out by NOP, on behalf of Ziff-Davis (the publishers of ZDNet), Dell and Yahoo. It found that up to a third of teenagers in this age group are Web users. Although this age group represent only 5% of total Web users in the UK, it is very significant because it represents a high proportion of penetration amongst teenagers, suggesting that as they mature they will take a preference for Web surfing into adulthood. So what are they doing? Playing games, shopping, looking up music sites, and downloading software. For full report click here.
