Virgin Mobile is to offer its subscribers access to WAP Internet content from standard mobile handsets from the spring

The company will launch a SIM-based Web browser, allowing subscribers Internet browsing capabilities without the need to upgrade to a WAP enabled handset.
Virgin Mobile, a virtual mobile operator that buys network capacity from One2One, is working on the SIM browser technology in partnership with smartcard manufacturer Gemplus.
